For what it's worth, I was terrified to get my own place, and it has actually turned out to be wonderful. I mean, Andrew and I were really, really poor for the first year, when he didn't have a job, but I felt like we actually got really close because of that. It also makes you appreciate being able to buy crap like video games and McDonald's once you can again.

Also, it's really nice to have a place where you can do whatever you want, pretty much all the time. Which I realize is kind of true of your house, but it might be even better somewhere else. And, as Matt said, if it doesn't work out, it's not like you moved to Sweden or anything.

Are your parents going to be mad if you say no? This I'm just curious about. And how long is this $500 apartment deal good for? Because I would totally pay that little, if it's around in a year or so. ;)

Anyway, I don't know quite what I'm saying here, other than various vague opinions on the subject, and the fact that I love living with my boyfriend, even with financial difficulties, and I think you might too.
