So this weekend was a shit-ton of fun!!
Kicked it off on Thursdaywith Rebecca (a Rubys spa refugee), and spent the nearly 90 degree afternoon out on the river. Dropped her off at First Thursday and then had dinner with Jonas at Pambiche (mmmmm Cuban food). Had a nightcap at Roadside Attraction and ended up chatting with the super-eccentric older woman who owns the joint.
Friday, Natalya Shauna and I went for a pretty intense hike up at Eagle Creek. That includes Punchbowl Falls, Tunnel Falls, etc. SO FUN!! Perfect weather too--it was probably around 70 but it was overcast with some sun breaks. I took Lu with me and she was a little champ!
Then I worked an 8 hour shift at the bar on Friday night, made a bunch of money, and the Blazers won their series. The whole bar erupted into pandemonium, and I immediately started saying "omg, omg, omg" over and over and started crying haha. I can't help it, man. I've been a partial season ticket holder the last three seasons, and I've been closely following the Blazers for probably the last 6 years. To see them pull this off, just made my heart swell for them. Ahhh im getting emotional again. Ok, onto Saturday!
Saturday, I worked the PSU Farmers market from 9:30-2:30. It was busy. Heather and I were in high spirits because, duh, Blazers. Saturday night I went to the Timbers game with Nesbitt for his birthday, and THEY WON TOO!! They have been having a shitty season so all Timbers fans were stoked for that (I'm not nuts for soccer, but I enjoy the games). Afterwards we hit up Booty Bassment, and I showered both Nate and Nesbitt with goodies from Olympic Provisions (THE premiere meat suppliers of PDX) and some other stuff from the market.
Almost got into a fight at the club with some little turd who threw an elbow at me in passing and didn't apologize. So naturally (because I am two whiskeys and a beer into my evening), I grab a fistful of the back of his t-shirt, wind my fist into it, and punch him squarely in the back. He plummeted forward into his friends and acted like he tried to come at me, but by then there was a crowd in between us. Really, dude? A) I'm female and B) I know every staff member at this club. You will lose. He saw me later when I ducked into the VIP room, OOOOOOOH EXTRA BURN ON YOUR EGO!
Sunday, brunch at Rae's with Nesbitt and Co for the continues celebration weekend. Lingered for three hours there, then went home, cleaned, walked pup, watched Mad Men.
Great weekend. Now if only the women would email me back about the skin care place on Fremont.
