patience, focus, and humility

i really want my new bass. i am somewhere between the geddy lee bass with some modifications or the squire modified fretted jazz, also with some mods. i want to meet some more people. the people i have met as of late just aren't the people i should be spending my time with, especially since i do not want to do so much drinking. i want to do different things with my spare time. i want to spend my free time doing something intellectual as opposed to bars and shit. i want a better car situation. i want to be able to get in my car and not feel like i am losing my hearing. i know that all of the things that i want will come soon enough, i just have to be focused and patient. but what i do know is things are better. i am sitting at a new desk, on a new chair, looking at a tv on a new bookcase. i have a real full time job that is on my career track. most importantly, i am paying ALL my own bills, and i don't give a fuck about what anyone says about me. whenever i get down on myself for not having a new bass yet or a good woman in my life, i just remember that no one is supporting me financially at all. i am doing the full adult thing. i may not be doing it as good as others, but until any one of those others is doing anything to make my life better, i refuse to let them make me feel negative about my life situation in any way. from here on out, if i get asked how i am doing, i can only say great, because i know where he brought me from, and i will never forget.
