the door rang
i went to answer it
and was so petrified with fear that i couldn't
so i stared at the guy through the window
where he didn't notice me
and watched his greasy long hair
and dirty nails
by his cell phone
as he got into his penske truck and drove away

without logic
i hope no one needed a package today.
