Do not pity the dead, pity the living.

It has happened. I have finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I cannot believe that it is over. There are many things that I wish to discuss, many things that I wish to write, and many things that, even I, still do not understand.

It was an amazing book, with a satisfying ending, though the epilogue could have been better. It was one of those books that I needed to read, and it was definitely one of my favorites of the series...although, it will be the one that I am most likely not to re-read for a very long time.

The full reality of the end has not struck me entirely, as I'm sure it will eventually. I laughed at times, and I thought the entire way through. And I was also brought to hysterical tears at times. It's truly heartbreaking, most of it.

I will not bore you with petty details, as I'm sure that nearly no one (of the very few) who do read my LJ, will care to read them. But, although they are book characters, I feel that I should make a memorial, in this entry, pitiful though it is, to remember those who have died. These are spoilers for the book so be warned...

"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"
