Shameless new icon post
I felt as though I needed a revamp on some of my icons. So I've got 4 or 5 new ones posted up. :D It took awhile to choose which one I wanted to use this time, but I figured I'd start my first entry of the new year with a Good Omens one(as I was searching for some, I had the strongest urge to re-read the book, but I'm fighting the urge due to the fact that I have a big stack of books to start reading as you will soon see).
New Years went extremely well, we went over to the Gandolfi's like we do every year and had a blast. I played the game Pit for the first time, and even won my first game! I also played Apples to Apples for the first time as well, that was a definite riot. I hope yours went well too!
As for my reading that I mentioned in the last post, I finished some more of my Sherlock Holmes book, and I'm nearly done with American Gods. It's addictive. I can't put it down when I pick it up to read. So far Jacquel and Ibis are my favorites. I do hope that they're in it more.
I also picked up some new books at our Borders which is scheduled to shut within the month. It's rather sad to see my once prosperous book store whittled down to a few shelves of the books that are hanging on until the stores last days. I got the first two Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney manga, a trade paperback of Ultimate Origins, a Marvel Adventures Avengers, and the Giver. Just more to put on my 'to read' list. It's going to be sad to see the store go, I hope we get another one in its place.
I finally got all of my scheduling done for the spring semester as well. It took a lot of tinkering to get classes that I needed, but in the end I lucked out and got the last seat in 2 classes. Both times, I let out cries of triumph in work, making Steph laugh each time.
So, as of now, for spring I have:
-Animation
-Graphics
-Research Writing
-Philosophy
-Sociology
I have 4 classes on Tuesday and Thursday, with just Philosophy on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. :D It seems good so far, and according to ratemyprofessors, all of the ones that I got are really cool.
Tonight I am going to see Sherlock Holmes with my friends Lindsey and Ben (we call ourselves the Three Musketeers XP). This is the first time we've hung out together in nearly 2 years. I'm very excited on catching up. (not to mention very excited to see a movie featuring Robert Downey Jr. tied to a bed with nothing but a pillow to cover his junk!)
And then on Monday the new House episode is on! Which I am nearly losing sleep over. Wilson proposing to House? Yeah...even in the context that it's in...the fangirl in me is still incredibly excited!
