In an Octopus's garden in the shade...

There I was. The sky was gray but the sun was shining, giving the whole setting an odd vibe. I walked down the street, somehow recognizing the unfamiliar place as Haight and Ashbury in San Fransisco. Though, even in the present day, it still felt like I was in the middle of the 60's hippy revolution.

I kept on walking until I reached an open air restaurant/candy store. I walked inside and looked around at the brightly colored candy that lined the walls. Suddenly, a girl, dressed oddly like a Dr. Rockzo background dancer without all the make-up, popped up in front of me.

"Hey! I'm Madge!" she said brightly, before turning her head quizzically to the side. "How are you ever gonna kiss me like that? You don't have any lipstick! You have to have lip stick to match mine!" Sure enough, she was wearing bright pink lipstick.

Without further ado, she reached up and smeared baby blue icing all over my lips, before spreading three lines back each of my cheeks. She kissed me, giggled, and skipped off.

I began to walk around again, aware of the fact that the icing on my face was glowing, but not caring. I passed a candy counter and saw my friend Ben Poproch buying large lollipops and pixie sticks with Bart Simpson, and continued on my way.

Reaching the end of the restaurant, where the side walk met the store, I approached a table where two older gentlemen were sitting with a toddler. The little boy smiled at me and waved, saying "Hi" and giggling.

I smiled at him and said 'hello' in return. The one gentleman, who looked oddly like Penn from Penn and Teller, motioned me over. He asked me what I was doing. I told him that I was a college student who was considering a Comm Media Major. I also explained that it would be cool to work for a movie company or maybe even mix albums or work for a radio station.

He grinned at me and said, "Then you should be there."

Pointing off towards the horizon, I followed his direction. Suddenly, as I watched, 400+ miles of land zoomed past my tunneled vision. Before I knew it, I was looking at the skyline of LA. Everything moved so jerkily and fast as my eyes scanned the city.

I focused on a shadow of a man. He turned towards me and I gasped. I knew he was looking at me. But all I could see was black, and the glowing silver of his eyes.

My heart pounded. He could see me! Just like I could see him! But could he see my face? Or just the glowing of my eyes and the icing? I was panicked.

With a quick jerk, he brought his hand to his face. I saw the glimmer of a ring on his finger....

And I woke up.

This is why I should never ever take cough medicine. Even the prescribed amount when I'm sick. This shit happens.
