Woo Hoo for hippie festivals!

Alright so the "rave" turned out to be, almost all hippies, and a few ravers. I never wanted to leave. 3 days of the beautiful outdoors, 5 hours away from home, with my best raver girl, Nina (she may have been mentioned as Nauteca Star earlier in this journal). The field was so big, and there where hippies everywhere! For once in my life, I didn't feel like a minority because of my dreadlocks! It was sweet. Most of the days where spent wandering the fields, listening to Jam Bands, and Techno. We celebrated Jerry Garcia's birthday by laying in the grass and star gazing. It was so amazing, I LOVE stars!!!!! It was amazing, everyone was so friendly. I was worried about camping for 3 days at first, because I didn't want anyone to break into our tent and steal our stuff, but I soon found, that this was the last thing any of these people where thinking about. They where all so cool. On the first night, I participated in a drum circle. It was so spiritual. It's been so long since I have done that. The last time I did it was last year at the Pagan campout. On the second night, and old hippie man came up to us and sold Nina dank cookies and shroom chocolates. Apparently, they where good, but I didn't have any, so I don't know. Nina seemed to enjoy herself. Trish called me while I was hanging out in the tent, when Nina was outside and told me some terrible news. I'm not really at liberty to speak of the news, but Trish, I'm SO sorry. Needless to say, the weekend was ultimate chill. All I wanted to do was be lazy and bask in the harmony. That's what it was. Complete bliss, and I LOVED every moment of it. I got a new bead for my dreads too. It's glassblown, and yellow and orange swirled. It's so pretty. It really sets off the orange wood bead I have. :-D
On the way home today, Nina and I stopped by her apartment about an hour from my house and caught up on sleep, relaxed, and hung out with Ryan (who may have been refered to as "Mouse" in this journal, her boyfriend) and 2 of his friends. It was nice to relax. I saw a collage of pictures on Nina's wall of all her good raver friends. It made me warm on the inside. I was on there, and it said in glue letters "For the people who changed my life, I love you". I love ravers, and their compassion to their people.
Adam hooked me up with a ride home, and I went to Tennis' to see Krista, Jenny, Jason, and the rest of the little munchkin children. I missed them.
The weekend was grand.
Thank God for Raver friends who will steal you at your most vulnerable moment, and take you to a beautiful place that will set you free.
