food change
Hello!
So, I discovered tonight at the grocery store that Wrigley's current dog food has apparently been discontinued. We were planning to switch him to something better pretty soon anyways (we have a car now, so don't have to worry about lugging the bags home on the bus anymore so can shop more freely), but I am freaking out a bit that I won't be able to switch him over as slowly as I had intended. (He has a sensitive stomach, as well as flare-ups of stress colitis from time to time.) We also hadn't completely decided what food to switch him to yet.
So! Fellow basset owners, I have a few questions for you!
1. Have you ever switched your basset's food? How quickly? How did it go?
2. What food is your basset eating now, and why did you choose it?
I am making a pot of white rice to supplement the small amount of his current food that we have left, and will check at other stores tomorrow to see if anyone has any left in stock, but I am super worried about the switch right now.
