Thus far my summer has been pretty low key, buuuuut I guess I'll give an update of sorts. I do still live, I swear!
- Brought my computer back to NMU. Yes, I had blown up my hard drive. They gave me a new one for free. Unfortunately I had lost all of my pictures on there that I hadn't backed up. They offered to *try* to back up my document files for a small fee of $50, but I said no thanks...any of those I had left were useless anyways.
- Went to my Dad's house the weekend before last for his birthday. It's been faaaar too long since I've seen him (Halloween was the last time I drove down there). Saturday night was a bit too crazy for me. Half of the Aagaard family was at my Dad's house, which for normal people would be really really neat...I hid having panic attacks. In one kitchen we had my Dad, Grandma and Grandpa, both of my Dad's sisters, one of my Dad's sisters husband, Uncle Jeff and his girlfriend, my sister, my brother, and my little cousin. When I did finally come out to say hi I got really funny looks from one of my aunts and her husband, sooooo I went back into hiding. I eventually came back out once my grandparents, my cousin and her mom all left. Of course those who were left had to poke fun at my dreads and piercings, which really just made me kinda want to go hide again. I did get to see and talk to my Uncle Jeff though (who lives in San Diego) and run around with my little cousin Sara, so that was a major plus! I had forgotten how quiet and mellow my Uncle Jeff is, and quite frankly I wish I could spend more time with him. I also spent a good chunk of the weekend chatting with my sister. It's funny how much she's grown up. Kinda blows my mind really.
- The job search is kinda fail. I'm hoping that I'll possibly score something with Walgreens, but at this point I'm not holding my breath. There is also absolutely no chance of me getting back the job I've had the past two summers, with GM claiming bankruptcy and every other part of the car industry being in the shitter as well. Needless to say even my Dad, who's been working at KSU for like 30 years now has the summer off due to layoffs. Soooo yeah....
- This idle lifestyle is kinda really starting to drive me bonkers. I've been on a third shift-like sleep schedule as of late, and while I love playing WoW and all, and absolutely love the friends I have on there, I'm rather tired of it being the bulk of what I do in a day. It's just getting old. Job search, please stop being fail, asap. Kthnx. Also, daylight, I sometimes kinda miss you.
- It's finally starting to feel like summer! It's all warm and sunny and shit. I love it. Now, if only we can get our nights to be a non-muggy mid 70s with some really nice thunderstorms. I'd be totally down for some of that right now.
So yeah, I'm still living. I've been incredibly low key, but I'm still bebopping about.
