Actual time off
To be as . . . succinct as possible, I'll say this about going back to PA:
1) Wednesday, I got to see my parents. My father is as mean and hateful as usual. My mother tried to be upbeat. She lent me a quantity of useful books on flannelboards and felt (for my presentation in June.)
2) Thursday, Gerry's graduation, although boring, was nice. People, however, do not understand how colors signify things. The 500 white chairs facing the podium . . . guess what? It's for the graduates, not for you.
3) Friday, I got to see my nieces. I have pictures. Someday, I'll post new pictures. The nieces are good. Kate is brillant. (Although she mentioned Goths.) Megan is a loner. And Emma, with her two bottom middle teeth, laughs at everything.
4) Saturday, I got to see Jen. A few times, in fact.
5) Sunday, I saw Gerry's family, and Jen again. We got back to MD at 1:30am.
There are . . . things missing, obviously. And so they shall remain.
