This was inspired by Steph.
Thing is, with my playlists (both on my computer and on my mp3 player) they have a lot of game remixes and/or symphonic music (you know, the stuff I used to terrorize Jen and Christine with) so writing about them, although not difficult, I'm afraid no one will quite get what I mean since they haven't heard them. But then again, it occured to me that you all probably haven't heard the stuff the does have words. hmm.
Butterfly Boucher - Life Is Short
"I am young but I have aged". I'm still young physically . . . but worst of all, emotionally. I've never been so good with the interacting with people. I can't read them very well and I tend to be way too compliant towards them. I want to make them happy. I want them to quit complaining about things they can't change and me. I hate when people pick at things I do. I'm not perfect, so I've never understood why people try to make change. I'll change on my own time, even though it's slow.
Dj StarChild - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Memories of Saria OC Remix
This reminds me of playing Ocarina of Time all that time only to get stuck in the freakin' Water Temple. What I don't get, though, is that I beat Twilight Princess. Although my informant (who doesn't realize I've written about him in most of my entries here) tells me that the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time is especially hard. hmm. I think he's just being nice to me.
The Black Lodge - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Ocarina Boogie OC Remix
Do you notice a trend? I like the music from the Legend of Zelda franchise. It's good stuff, especially this piece. It's totally got the sound of the jump of Mario in the original Donkey Kong for Atari 2600 through out it. (Wanna play it? I have the game.) It's got this great ocarina playing a tune which the title escapes me. hmm.
Semisonic - Closing Time
Hmm. What to say about this one? I like the lyrics . . . and it's so . . . laid back and I tend to sing with it when I'm not paying attention. *wags finger* Which is bad because me and the singing, I think, don't get along. I was told for so many years that I can't sing that I don't believe people when they say I can sing. Yeah, I hit the pitches and I have the rhythm and all that stuff . . . but I often feel I've missed something. I've never been fond of singers, especially female singers. Male singers have always been more appealing. *shrug*
Zero Seven - In The Waiting Line
I heard this song on an episode of House and it made me think. "Wasting my time in the waiting line. 9 to 5, living lies." Everyday, I hurry to the station and wait for the metro. I get in a crowded car and travel two stops to Charles Center and I, like a drone, go up the escalators and swipe my pass and go up escalators again, only to wait for a bus that is always crowded. Crowds of unhappy people in conditions that are inhospitable. Very disgruntling.
voh - Super Smash Bros. Melee - Broken Bullseye
This piece reminds me of Alex playing SSBM and doing all the minigames . . . and astounding me with his talent at video games. I am an amateur compared to him.
Glenn Miller - Moonlight Serenade
I like this piece. It reminds me of my grandma and my mom and it makes me remember good times with both of them. It's such an old-timey sounding song that it . . .
This would be the song I would dance to at my wedding . . . but since I probably will never get married, one doesn't have to worry and get sentimental about such things. etc etc etc.
I would add more to this, however, no music for me during work . . .
There's a woman who told us about the RFID way of checking out a book and she shouts everything. Cassie would probably kill her.
I need new glasses something fierce. Too bad my insurance kinda sucks (so says Cindy) and most of it won't kick in for a while. Which also sucks 'cause I need to go to all kinds of doctors. We think that this Anne is not well . . .
