Update extravaganza

Jan 17, 2006 19:50

well, let's see . . .
I should update 'bout the weekend.
And my classes which started today.
And 'bout my Kate . . .

But first, I shall post this:

"Ah, only the farmer's almanac has all the answers and ours ran out in december. does this mean there are no more answers? or does it merely mean that we cease to exist until the next almanac publication? ah the preponderences of this demolition."

That's my mum for you.

Anyways, I'll go in reverse order: Kate.

My Kate is obsessed with pens and pencils and paper just like her paternal grandmother. My mum will steal any pen she sees. Anyways, at school, if you have a quarter, you can buy for your very own a gel pen from a dispenser. Ahh, the marvels of modern technology! (I remember buying pencils . . . I always got the ugly ones though.) Kate came home the other day with a pen and said her friend Nicole had bought it for her. Tricia, my ever perfect sister-in-law suggested that Kate take a quarter to buy Nicole one as well as herself (Kate) one. Kate then snuck a quarter in her backpack to buy one for Megan. Well, Kate came home distressed the next day 'cause after the 2nd quarter the machine jammed, so no pen for Megan. Then Tricia found the note from the lunch lady. Seems that Kate only had 22 cents the other day for her $1.22 lunch.
Where did the dollar go?
Yes . . . you're thinking correctly.
So Tricia confronted the near perfect Kate and said to her about her lunch money. Kate didn't know at all where it went, she said. Tricia asked if Kate was lying and Kate's lip trembled and the girl looked at her mother with tears in her eyes and declared she was fibbing and that yes, she bought gel pens with her lunch money.
What did her paternal grandmother ask? "Where is this machine exactly? I wouldn't mind plugging it with quarters . . ."

heh.

Another topic: My Classes

I tried to log on today. Took forever! Then it told me I had an invalid user name and password, so I left it alone for an hour or so. I came back and lo! it let me in the site for distance learning, however, there was only one class listed. I whimpered and left the site.
I waited until 7pm to look at it again. All three courses are there. I have assignments due Friday and Monday . . . some of which are complete idiocy.

I found I have to visit three libraries in the amount of 11 weeks. Methinks I should kick around IUP's Library simply because I can and of course, it's close. Man! Stinks kinda. Heh . . . at least I can steal the car!

Finally, this past weekend:

*sigh* It was fun, I must admit. Missed Jen though. But she's got issues. Found out she's actually sick. :/
here's how it all went:
Friday
I was at the library and at 4pm I went out to the car to get the cool whip to make the Dirt, however, it was unnatually warm and after sniffing the cool whip I started to have a fit 'cause to me, it smelled spoiled so Mum went up street to get me more cool whip.
I was mixing pudding and the oreo cookies as Theresa started whining to me that I should go take a picture of the ladies (including my mum) quilting out on the floor. I told her I was busy. She got unhappy with me and tried to pull a guilt trip on me. "Your Mom would appreciate it. I can't take pictures because my hands shake."
For the record, my mum did NOT ask me to take a picture. I would have, had she asked.
So I ignored Theresa, although I will admit I muttered about martyrs and selfishness.
Then Theresa starts with "Hey, you done yet?"
"No."
"Are you done yet?"
"No."
"Hey! Are you done yet?"
"No!"
"Hey . . ."
I turned around and said "No Theresa, I am not done yet. Could you kindly quit bothering me? I'm sorry if I'm short, but I have something to do." I said through gritted teeth.
"I see." She said and left.
Left, as in the building for the day.
Then I splattered pudding on my person. And on some of the walls.
Did I mention that I was without my green hoodie 'cause the first cool whip had leaked on my arm? Mum scrubbed at the sleeve though.
So by then, mum had gotten me new cool whip and i was trying to warm the stuff up since, ya know, it was frozen solid.
In the middle of all this, the chef came in.
She had to investigate what I was doing. Tried to give me pointers. I kept my cool with her though.
Finally, at like 5:30, Mum and I got out of the place and headed to IUP.

I arrived at IUP and after dragging my stuff from the car, including the Dirt, I tried to talk poor Cassie and Chris to death.
But then had to stop 'cause Stargate came on.
Steph appeared and . . . gee, what did we do? I really don't remember.
Other than from midnight to 3am, Chris and I talked whilst we watched 'bout Cleopatra and the later the Rosetta Stone. Yes, he and I talked. And we didn't kill each other. heh.

Saturday
I was up at 10:30. Chris and I sat on the couch and, you guess it: talked. Steph arrived at like 1pm but Chris had gone back to bed. Cassie and I went to Martin's and I was sprinting through the place so not to make her unhappy. I got a salad and an orange.
That reminds me! I left my salad dressing! oops!

Christine arrived around 2ish? 3ish? dunno really. She appeared. I offered to help her but I was turned down. We all talked for a while then Christopher showed up. I'll tell you this much: that kid can be totally hilarious when he's himself. heh.
We played the Trivial Pursuit Steph got me. It was me on a team (Cassie was supposed to be on my team but she was in the other room.) Christine on a team (Christopher was supposed to be on her team but he went to dinner with Laura.) and Chris and Steph on a team. The duo won. Man! I always knew Chris was book smart, but I never realized he knew so much . . . eh, I can't explain it . . .

Later that night, Chris and I heckled the Dog Show. I want an Irish Wolfhound!

I totally need to get me Mario Kart: Double Dash. Perhaps I'll check for a used copy at some game store. Just not Game Spot at IUP . . . 'cause if that Jerome guy is there, I'll drool and end up buying too much . . . again.

I left on Sunday from IUP. I needed to get leave my friends alone. Christine needed to unpack and get ready for Monday. Chris and Cassie . . . eh, they needed to sleep or something so I made an exit stage left.

I think there's a mouse in my room. Or it was in here 'cause I found evidence . . .
*sigh*

So at the library I get to clean up book records. I know . . . sounds boring I imagine. To me, it's so fun! I like it a lot.
