[Saturday 10:46]
Basketball hall near the sport gymnasium
“Welcome back to earth.” It was, again, Jiyong’s melodious laugh that let Chansung snap back to reality. He found himself being shoved into the changing rooms, and he let out a small sigh.
Changing himself is somehow odd, his body felt strangely unfamiliar. Every single move seemed to hurt, his bones were heavy and he could swear they were made of cement. His joints clicked painfully because of the overload earlier. After all, it was a really rough and tough game. At some point he just did what his routine trained him to do and before he really registered it he was already in his casuals. He started to look for Jiyong and found him bowing to the rest of today's escort. He refused to even think about them as his teammates. Wait, what? Why did Jiyong bow to them? Did he honestly hear something like ‘thankful’ and ‘they did great’?! He should double check his ears cuz this just couldn’t be right! The worst was that he actually looked like he meant it. Seriously, they did great today? Wasn’t Jiyong out there?
Today the opposing team didn’t play against basketball players; they played against frightened kindergarten kids. And even the team coach looked like he’d rather commit suicide than watching his teams' tragedy any longer. He couldn’t understand why nobody yelled yet at them. Or slam their heads together as a wake-up call they apparently needed. Or just kick them out of the team already. They just wasted everyone’s time. It was embarrassing out there, not just because they never attempted the training. They cowered like chicks when Chansung or Jiyong tried to pass the ball to them.
He was so annoyed he was going to explode, because he had had enough of that fiasco. But Jiyong, the good leader he was, had his intuitions, and sensed Chansung’s temper. Before he could object he found himself, once again, pushed out of the room by his leader’s hands. He just had enough time to grab his sport bag. Jiyong still managed a kind and cheerful good bye and pursued Chansung with his leave.
Chansung was already in an awful mood. He was sure it was impossible to go any worse.
But then again he was a teenager and nothing was impossible for the hormones of a pubescent young male. His last hope of an - at least peaceful - afternoon dropped when he spotted a waiting figure near the exit. Well a ‘figure’ sounded pretty slim or merely chubby, but all Chansung discovered was fat and only fat! This made it pretty obvious to who was waiting there for them. Or should he say, waiting for Jiyong?
From then on he knew, his perfect planned spare of time blurted like a soap bubble. All he wanted to do was nothing else but to lounge around with Jiyong. His heart itched painfully when he noticed that his Hyung didn’t felt the same grudge towards the disturber. In fact Jiyong looked pretty happy. And his eyes had this sparkle from anticipation as he hurried to his waiting friend, while Chansung did the contrary and reduced his speed. He needed time to observe the situation.
One hand of his personal nightmare held an extra large something to go. If the cup contained cola, he would have to fight against the urge to laugh about the stereotype cliché. Chansung let it go, since it was labelled as coffee, but he guessed it possibly had a huge amount sugar in it.
The free hand clung on a huge bag which he also pressed tightly against his body.
He later decoded the brand name of the bag. A cheap fake of Mr. Donut and he couldn’t help but to feel disgusted. The savour was awful, the dough too dry and the sugar coat too sweet.
And then he remembered how he had nauseatingly observed that guy gulping down Jiyong’s lunch without chewing in between.
This guy truly had some gross eating habits, and he wondered if the other one worked as a human food vacuum cleaner. Chansung himself loved eating, but food without chewing tasted like nothing. If he gained that much weight his mother would chase after him with fury.
Chansung slowly reached them. Too early - he wasn’t ready or interested in any exchange of formal greetings with the garbage chute called Seunghyun.
He really wasn’t in a disposition where he could pretend to be friendly, nice and funny.
So a simple nod was the perfect solution of the salutation nuisance.
Careful not to slip any violent insult, he swallowed down any bad thoughts together with his pride. If this was the only way to stay by Jiyong’s side he would endure it anyway.
Chansung felt empty, exhausted and tired, and his head grew heavier with every passing second. He didn’t really fight the compulsion to back hug his Hyung. Sluggishly he wrapped his arms around Jiyong’s waist and softly pressed his body against his back. Just to be close enough to carefully let his head rest on his shoulders.
He never thought about the repercussion of an embrace. If he felt like doing it, he would just do it. With passing time, their friendship became closer and somewhere along the days the closeness between them became just as natural as the ability to breathe.
Jiyong shortly discontinued his conversation to peer on his shoulder.
Chansung could smell Jiyong’s scent and a tinge of his conditioner. He let himself rest for a while longer because he felt so warm and it carried him away. Not far enough to not notice the gentle crawling on his neck. He did get a little sulky when he recognized that Jiyong continued his small talk with Seunghyun again. But he didn’t really care because the soft vibration caused by the use of Jiyong’s vocal chords relaxed him even more. Of course he missed the jealous stare he received. Not being seen didn’t mean not knowing. He noticed the real reason for Seunghyun’s wait.
After some time passed, Chansung felt bored and ignored.
The crawling had disappeared and so did his patience.
With quite a bit of effort he slowly managed to open his eyes again and recognized that most of the bicycles around them were gone as well. This meant that Seunghyun had enough chitty chat with Jiyong for today. He needed the attention of his Hyung right now. And before he even finished his thoughts he already started his courtesy attack. Jiyong could feel a soft brush of air Chansung blew against his cheek. So the older one got interrupted by the ticklish feel of the air that brushed him slightly. He didn’t have to wait for a response to it, he already could hear Jiyong chuckle. “Chansungie are you back in the world of the awaken people?” Chansung just nodded weakly and he really did look like he just woke up. His hair was ruffled but probably because of the harsh game and his eyes unusual small. Although they were small right now, he still managed to look as pitiful as possible and pleading at Jiyong. He didn’t have to say anything Jiyong would understand, and he did.

He rejoined with the most beautiful laugh Seunghyun had ever heard. Jiyong lightly nodded before apologizing to him. “I’m sorry Hyung but we have to leave now. I promised to visit Yongguk-ah with him. I will call you later when I’m back home, okay?”
He couldn’t hide his disappointment, and he was about to protest when he spotted a movement. Chansung finally let go of his crush but also beamed a suspiciously triumphant smile at him. He felt his heart race in rage, and his blood seemed to boil.
Somehow he felt challenged, but if Chansung would like to fight, he wouldn’t chicken out of it. “I see! Did he have a nasty meeting again? I was wondering were he-” Seunghyun paused, something bothered him. Literally, you could see him thinking and when he noticed the missing plot he shouted excited. “Right, where was everyone?”
The both faces in front of him dropped in sync and became priceless.
Even Jiyong seemed unhappy about the question, since both made a furious snoot and had clenched fists, he took this as a silent, ’don’t even dare to ask’ and preferred not to rub more salt into the wound.

Chansung played around the bus station. He did chin ups on the bus stop sign as his attempt to climb on the small roof failed. He excused his wild behaviour with watching out for the next bus but Jiyong knew better. Chansung just entertained himself, because calm and quiet weren’t like his hyper and bubbly Chanana at all.
Although the younger could act secretive especially around strangers. Chansung was an observant person which needed to ponder before he made a decision. He was thoughtful and sensitive but his friends also knew him as a talkative and cheerful person.
Jiyong watched him for a while. It was fascinating how the same drained boy from before suddenly became a jumpy, sassy city monkey. Suddenly he plopped down and scurried excitedly back to him. “The bus!” he pointed in the direction the bus should come from, and indeed a few seconds later the bus stopped in front of the boys. Chansung was the first inside and hurried through the bus to the last row of seats. He made himself comfy and waved eagerly at Jiyong to join him. The older one followed with an expression of amusement. He surely shouldn’t have let him eat all the sugar stuff Seunghyun gave him.
In fact, Seunghyun had always waited for him. He always would hand him something to eat.
He once told his fan, that he couldn’t eat heavy sugar coated sweets when his body was emaciated. And from then on, he always would get fresh and fluffy muffins.
He loved them and he really felt honoured to have such a nice and supportive friend.
But he also didn’t know that Seunghyun had a selfish reason. Jiyong was super and in Seunghyun’s eyes unhealthy skinny. Seunghyun himself was fat and chubby. Seunghyun didn’t want to change his lazy lifestyle but maybe he could Jiyong convince to join.
If he could make Jiyong a little bit more like him, he wouldn’t have to share him with the others anymore.
Just a bit heavier wouldn’t harm him, would it?
Of course Seunghyun didn’t plan to make him fat, except if he wished to become fat. Seunghyun wouldn’t mind that either. Of course having such thoughts was egoistic and bad and he had some remorse. But he also didn’t find any other way to show Jiyong his feelings for him. Presenting food seemed to be perfect. Because, didn’t they say;’ The way to a man's heart is through his stomach’?
It had to be something as fluffy as Jiyong’s laugh, fruity as his cheerful personality, wet like his hair when he was sweating and perfect like Jiyong himself.
And the only thing that crossed his mind was a yummy muffin.
The taste should be as amazing as Jiyong.
So from this time on, Seunghyun would always wait for Jiyong, mostly with a caramel latte and some muffins for Jiyong.
Today, to specially surprise Jiyong, he chose to bake banana flavoured Muffins by himself.
But today didn’t seem to be a lucky day, and it would end in a failure.
How could he have known, that this was his own mistake?
Because:
He couldn’t have known that Chansung would accompany Jiyong today.
He couldn’t have known that Chansung’s favourite food ever were bananas.
He couldn’t have known that Chansung’s pleading eyes would let Jiyong’s heart melt.
And he didn’t know that Jiyong didn’t eat one crumb of his Muffins!
