Thanks for the credit...I guess I'm an inspirational guy!
Love is tough for everybody; I can definitely sympathize with you on this. All of my past relationships have been complete failures, and it's easy to get discouraged and think it's all your fault. Trust me here, haha, I'm the king of getting discouraged...but being discouraged gets you nowhere. No matter how cliché it may sound, the only thing you can do is look at your past as use it as a guide. There's no sense in getting down on yourself because what's done is done. Regret is a silly emotion, because like I've said in my own LJ, it's what you wanted at one point.
As for your personal dilemma, nobody can ever know too much about themselves or the people around them. When you start to think you've finally figured it all out with your good grades, captain position, and new car...that's when your brain puts up a roadblock and says, "Alright, I've got it all figured out, I'm done now." It doesn't take long to realize there's a whole lot of life out there to experience. One of my goals this summer is to experience more of that life...it could be one of your goals, too.
Just keep growing and things will become more and more clear. I'd say things get easier, but then I'd probably be lying. I'm not too worried though, you're a smart girl. You've got a real intrinsic beauty; your boy problems aren't much to worry about.
No matter how boring you think you are, there will always be plenty of people out there who you mean the world to.
