The Death of an Icon...

I've been pretty sore lately... I went lazer tagging at Lazer Quest in westland this Saturday with Landen and his crew... let me tell ya, those Ironman matches are no joke. My right leg has been completly unusable and both my arms are pretty messed up. I'm pretty amazed I have the strength to type all this. Next time, I'll do better though... and hopefully won't ware myself out as much.

Today's post is for rememberance though... not of the pain I'm in, or of the amount of ass-whomping I gave Landen Saturday... Today was the day Peter Jennings died. I chose this music out of my libary, just for him.

To be completly honest, I haven't really paid much attention to Jennings until this year... this is because well... he's been the lead anchor of World News Tonight since I was born. I had never really pictured it any other way before. He was a great man... none of his competiors had any words of remorse for him... and he was dearly loved by his family. He died by their side... the cause was lung cancer.

If nothing else, my mother is completly spooked about getting lung cancer thanks to Jennings death. She may now finally have the strength to give up smoking all together... for that, I must say thank you.

Peter Jennings was a great man, a great father, and an excellent role-model. I hope I can be even half the man he was.
