Previous stories and chapters can be found here. Kill me please. I have had one of those two days. Yesterday I couldn't get to NaNoWriMo (yes, I'm attempting it), DeviantArt or LJ for hours. SUCKINESS! And today my mom had a minor meltdown and everything just got on top of me and I want to cry.
That's my excuse for not posting.

As Buffy’s stake came flying towards his heart, Spike yelped, “Dawn!”
She stopped. “What?”
“Dawn.”
“What about her?”
“I ... uh ... I don't know? I just ... uh ... I needed something to say to stop you ... and it worked. And now you’re going to kill me for saying your sister’s name ... but all I want is for you to hear us out!”
“Leave me out of this,” Ianto grunted.
Spike looked round at him and glared.
“Say your piece,” Buffy said, crossing her arms across her chest as Jack took her arm and pulled her out of the cell, locking the glass again. He kept his arm around her as they both watched Spike.
“Right ... Where to start ... Yes! Ianto ... and Buffy ... you’re wrong. I mean, not wrong ... just ...” Spike internally chastised himself for not working out what he was going to say first. “You’re supposed to be with Ianto.”
Buffy let out a laugh but Jack didn’t. “What?” he said.
“You two are supposed to be doing it every night of every moment and making the rest of us either sick or jealous. You’re in love and haven’t realised it yet.” He sighed and threw up his hands as he paced the cell. “And you,” he said, pointing at Buffy. “You’re supposed to be with me! But you’ll never believe that.”
Jack stepped forward slightly. “I’m supposed to be with him?” He pointed at Ianto.
Spike looked at him. “You remember. I’m not saying you remember properly but you know ... you know it feels wrong to touch Buffy but right when your hand brushes his. It’s love.”
“I’ll kill you just for this!” Buffy snapped, trying to lunge herself at the card swipe to get back in, but Jack restrained her. “Jack! What are you doing?”
He was still looking at Spike. “What’s done this to us? Say I believe you.”
“Adam. He’s not real. Check the CCTV. Look at his personnel file,” Ianto was the one speaking now. He’d stood up to address Jack. “He’s been feeding rubbish into our memories.”
“Let me out,” Spike said. “I’ll show you.”
“Don't trust him, Jack!” Buffy yelled, still struggling in Jack’s firm grip.
“She’s right. I can’t trust you not to eat us.”
“The chip,” Spike said. “My chip. Tosh ... she monitors it for me to make sure it doesn’t randomly fry my brain. Her device. The scanner. Bring it up here and use it against me. You. After all, I can’t kill you. Or, at least, if I did, you wouldn’t stay dead.” He looked at Jack imploringly. “Please. If not for me, do it for Buffy, who’s been mind-raped or Ianto here who ...” He caught Ianto’s look but ignored it. “Who’s been manipulated into believing he’s a murderer.”
Jack shot Ianto a look. “Is this true?”
Ianto nodded, reluctantly.
“Let me go!” Buffy yelled, in tears. “It’s not true. He’s playing with our minds.”
Spike stepped forward and put his hands against the glass. “I have never lied to you, Slayer,” he said. “Yeah, I tried to kill you. But I was pretty bloody forward about it. You knew the whole time. And I helped you before, remember? I was honest then, too.”
She blinked and stopped struggling. “You’re lying.”
“I’m not. Slayer, I’m not.”
“Fetch Tosh’s device,” Jack said. “I want to know if he’s telling the truth.”
Ianto and Spike visibly relaxed, sitting back down with a mutual sigh as Buffy ran off.
“If you’re lying,” Jack warned. “I’ll stake you myself” - he pointed at Spike then turned his finger on Ianto - “and as for you ... I’ll shoot you where you stand.”
