Author’s Note: You know how short some of the chapters were in part A? This is worse. One didn’t even fill a page (well, three didn’t actually). Bear with me, I’ll probably give you multiple chapters the days I post the short ones. Part B is shorter than part A. The next fic will go back to normal chapter lengths (well, relatively). And will be dark.
Disclaimer: I sure as heck don't own Torchwood, Doctor Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer or ... Hell, I don't own anything except Libby. And I don't own this particular storyline. A lot of the dialog and stuff is stolen snagged from the episodes not because I’m lazy but because I love the episodes so much. But, remember, this is told from a Magic and Mayhem point of view, so a lot of it is different and adjusted and hopefully worth the read. Plus, it’s a fic. I’ll stop rambling on about how this isn’t mine now. Coz it’s not. Obviously. I’m not RTD. I ain’t even a man.

Earth was being returned home. The Torchwood team could feel the ground moving beneath their feet as they clung to each other. The hub was in ruin and no one felt like cheering. They just wanted their leaders and partners home.

“That’s really good, Jack, I think you’re the best!” Donna said as she circled the TARDIS, observing.
Libby nudged him. “I think you have a fan,” she said, with a smirk.
“Don't tell Ianto!” Jack said, with mock fear, trying to keep the mood light even though fear was gripping him.
The TARDIS stopped dragging Earth home and everyone stepped away from the console hugging and cheering, even though Jack and Buffy didn’t feel like it. Buffy hugged Rose, Rose hugged Jack, Jack hugged Libby, Libby hugged Jackie and didn’t let go. Donna ripped Sarah-Jane from Jack and hugged him tight as Libby watched, smirking.
They landed the TARDIS in the middle of London and everyone piled out to say goodbye to Sarah-Jane, hugging her and promising to keep in touch. Martha left at the same time to pick up her stuff and make her way back to Cardiff alone. Then they landed the TARDIS in Cardiff and everyone got out to say goodbye to the Torchwood team.
Buffy turned to the Doctor. “See you round,” she said, before turning to Donna. “Keep in touch, yeah?”
Donna smiled. “I will,” she said, embracing her new-found friend. “You have my word.” She pointed at Jack. “Keep that one in line.”
Buffy laughed. “You really do have the Doctor’s mind.”
Nearby, Jack was hugging Jackie and Rose goodbye. He knew he wouldn't see them again; he could see it in the Doctor’s eyes. “You’re still worth fighting for,” he said to Rose as he kissed her on the cheek.
“Even though you died doing it?” she asked. “Twice?” She smiled sadly. “The Doctor filled me in.”
Jack chuckled. “Even though,” he promised. “Be happy. Have a good life.” He hugged her again, quickly, then turned to look at Libby, who was hugging Jackie.
“Keep in touch?” Libby asked.
Jackie shook her head. “I’m going back to another universe,” she said. “Can't even email from there.”
Libby nodded and looked at her feet. Jackie tilted her chin up to look her in the eye. “Don't let that brother of yours sweep you up in his life. You don't want to be too changed by your experiences.” She glanced at Rose.
Libby laughed. “How could I not be?” she asked. “Look at what we’ve seen today!”
Jackie smiled sadly. “I understand that.” She hugged Libby again. “Be safe, okay?”
The Doctor grabbed Jack’s wrist nearby. “I told you; no teleport!” he scolded.
Buffy slapped his hand away. “If it weren’t for that teleport you’d be dead,” she snapped. “Don't complain.”
Jack held his wrist up. “Just turn it off,” he said. “I don't want to be tempted.”
He turned to Buffy and Libby. “Coming?” he asked. The two of them nodded and took his hands as he walked down the path.
“He said he could get to all the universes temporarily,” Jack said, slowly.
“Home’s here now. Willow wouldn’t leave, Xander and Anya have a life and I’m sure Dawn is fine,” Buffy replied.
“Don't you get homesick?”
“Sometimes.” She squeezed his hand. “It’s okay though. This is home now.”
He squeezed back. “So ...”
“One hell of a day,” Buffy said
“Pretty average,” Jack replied.
Buffy giggled, turning her face up towards the sun. “Mm, feels nice,” she said.
Libby did the same. “I never thought I’d feel the sun on my face again.”
Jack looked at her. “You really proved yourself, today,” he said. “You want to come work for me? Be on the payroll?”
“What will Ianto think of that?” Libby asked, cautiously.
“Oh, he’ll hate the idea. But I’ll win him round with a few really good blow jobs.”
Libby and Buffy hit him on the arms, hard. “Oww!” Jack grunted. “What was that for?”
There was the sound of jogging and Mickey came running up behind them.
“I thought I got rid of you?” Jack complained.
Mickey smirked. “You know there’s no getting rid of me,” he said.
Jack grinned at him. “Coming back to Torchwood with us?”
Mickey shrugged. “Not got anywhere else to be,” he admitted.
