Alot of you have IMed me lately and said hey you never update your LJ..
Sorry guys.. although I dont think it really matters lol.. but yeah.. I never find myself with time to write an entry.
Stuff happens every day.. my life is definitly quite busy and there are plenty of things I could write about.. but I dont ever have the time.. and when I do have the time im usually tired and lazy and just want to sleep.. so yeah thats my explaination.
so yeah anyways.. first quarter of classes almost over.. another month to go than its 1 quarter down.. 11 to go for the bachelors degree.. 5 to go for the associates.. good times!
I've been working on alot of side projects and side jobs.. thinking of alot of ideas for my own business for when I get the bachelors degree out of the way.
I know im most definitly focusing on Producing and Promoting music.. also Live video and music video editing will definitly be under my belt.
When I get the associates degree in video and radio production it will basicly enable me to get a decent job at a television studio doing camera work or something to that effect... but what it really does to benefit me is enable me to get the bachelors degree in Digital Recording Arts which is basicly my prime major.. and what I will base my career on.
I thought about music alot lately and how its pretty much my life. I love music.. loved playing in bands and playing gigs so much. The whole idea of making a career out of playing in a band is definitly something I will always want but it really is a very hard reality.. I will definitly always play music for fun and definitly gig and who knows maybe some day something cool will happen where im making a living playing music.
The best thing about my major and plans for a career is that it involves music.. No matter what, my life will involve music.. whether im playing it or producing it or promoting it.. ( especially the local scenes. ) Im very easy going with music as well.. im into everything from hardcore to funk/jazz to hip-hop.. so producing and promoting will be fun to interact with all the different genres.
Another good thing about how I plan to work is that it is very easy to meet alot of people in good places.. I find that its always good to know someone for everything.. I have definitly started getting to know people in good places early in life and the list will just grow throughout school and especially throughout my career.
ehh all in all I am pretty happy with school.. im learning alot of other things on the side that will definitly serve a purpose later on with whatever I end up doing. I have never been as motivated for my education as I am now.. it feels great that I can really honestly come home feeling like I know alot more about something.. and I get that feeling every class I have.
To all my friends that I havent hung out with in a while or just havent communicated with much recently.. forgive me.. I am pretty busy with working full time and night school full time.. when im not working and im not at class.. ( fri-sun ) you can find me chillaxin at my place.. Usually every weekend we have something going on over here. I always answer my phone though, even at work, so anyone feel free to call me anytime.. only time I dont answer is when im in a class.. but I return my calls as soon as I can.. number is 640-7319.. nextel 2way ( 180*750*37 ) So hit me up anyone who I havent talked to in a while or whatever..
