dots on a page

it's always easier to notice the black spot, no matter how small, on a completely white piece of paper. it's a funny thing... just like how a small white dot is more likely more noticeable on a black piece of paper...

The irony is, if you take the above literally, because black is such a strong colour, the black on a black piece of paper is really more noticeable than the small white dot - even though white as a colour holds pretty much the same merits as the colour black.

I've come to the conclusion that it's all about perspective... it's almost like a natural reaction for people to see the bad side of things first, before they can see the good. problem is, some people see too much of the "black" that it takes a long time to see the "white".

don't ask me where this is leading to because I don't know either. perhaps its the aftermath of having to fire-fight for the past few months. Now that i'm no longer having to do that as much, with the challenge becoming less of a challenge, it seems i'm just taking stock.

okay... i'm simply rambling now so i'm going to stop.
