an UPDATE!
ok, just a quickie update...i still needs to catch up on my friends pages...its been an insane week...
long story short were making a lot of life changes....someone, ANYONE in my husbands command should have been able to take a look at his service record and said ______is why you diddnt make senior, but ALL of them, including the CMC said...uh, you SHOULD have made senior....seems to me they were NOT advancing on merit, but filling minority quotas....am i pissed....you bet. Now we are just going to retire.....fuck it....shannon has more medals, awards, perfect evals than any other mac we know of, and for SOME reason, some shmucks who are dumb ass desk jockeys with NO leadership ability and NO experience made it...guess they had their heads planted firmly up the right asses......it boggles the fricken mind...it isnt supposed to be like this anyomore in the navy, but i stand corrected.....
I got my wls bloodwork back for my one year apointment and everything is perfect! woohoo! Im the picture of health!
I designed 10 new peices for our sargents woodcrafts design line that i am very proud of and will be mailing those out this week to our retailer to see if they liek them...which i am sure they will...:-) They are CUTE!
in other news, weve been busy with soccer and baseball, and with the baseball league, there has been a ton of drama which is pissing me off, so i wont go into that...lets just say there is about to be a recconing and a mass mutiny....MWAhahahahahhaaaaa!
in other other news ive been training for my triathlons at the begining of the month and that is going well....I am getting better in open water as well as looking forward to a ride next week with a new training partner....
in other other other news the city FINALLY posted my job description for the nature store coordinator.....and while they are REQUIRING the management skills they are only paying PARK MINUMUM for it.....congrats ,city of hampton, for loosing my faith in fairness....you suck......
which prompted me to go to bass pro to apply for their promotions manager....and while that position was filled, they had several other supervisory positions available which they interviewed me for on the spot....im keeping my fingers crossed....its my 'happy store' and i am an excellent retail manager, with over 14 years of experience...as well as the pay being almost double what i was making at the park....WOW....i was shocked at that, but PLEASANTLY happy.....now i just wait to see which job they would like me to do! They are flexible and willing to work with my scheduling needs, and we have a sitter available to fill in the gaps! WOOHOO!
with making that kind of income it will be WORTH it to keep working while shannon is deployed....its funny, i could really see myself staying at bass pro for the long haul...its a good company with good pay and LOW turnover for their employeees....i hope i am able to become part of the team.
If im not working by this weekend then i am DITCHING housework and responsibility and going fishing and crabbing all day sunday.....i REALLY need a break....
