I was rejected by the last department I will try for.For those of you out of the area,Goose Creek PD is a smallish police department that has got a deplorable public image after making national news for using dogs and pulling guns on high school children during a drug raid that proved fruitless.You would think they would want a college graduate to join the "Department most likely to get hit with a civil suit".The thing that pisses me off is that I put my best foot forward on the application,still it was not good enough.
Well, it looks like I will be forced to go to Law school now and swim with the sharks.I have been accepted to the College of Charleston with a transfer of 36 of my credits-meaning as a mid-year sophmore.Yes, I will love being in college again-but to be honest the pay from the police job would have nicely offset the costs of college...but c'est la-vie.looks like another four years or so of desperation and starvation ahead of me.I love the law, I also love history-I need a prognosticator to tell me which path to take, J.D. or PhD.?
Oh well at least I have a choice, most don't get that.
