Well Merry Christmas to all
So Sterl and I went to look at Christmas lights last night here in St. Augustine... in the freakin rain... there weren't many :(
It made me very sad
We drove by my old house... the one I lived in when I first moved to Florida. The house where I have more memories with Sterl than anywhere else
The house where I had my first boyfriend, my first love
The house where I cried more tears than I thought possible throughout high school
The house with the dock just about in the backyard where I have countless memories with countless people
Basically I felt like "Oh man I miss my old house."
and it was cool because it wasn't my house in Tennessee
I never thought Florida would feel like home but last night I think it kinda hit me that it did without me realizing it.
Even if I didn't want it to become home it did. Because of everything from Sterling, Matt, Jess, Jason, Jonathan, Pedro, SJRCC,
ABC, the beach, Christian Surfers and everything inbetween.
Also something else...
the hardest thing for me when I moved was girlfriends... I pretty much had two "best" girl friends when I moved down here
but it was never like my friendships in Tennessee... There were countless nights of crying over this and more prayers than I care
to remember. But then God blessed me with Sheryl. I love that girl and I always have but I think it's hit me lately
just how much of a friend she is because I have come to realize (and this is going to sound cheesy but it's true) ;) when your friend hurts
and you can empathize with them instead of just sympathize... that's huge. And I seriously am just upset, hurt, sad and a ton of other emotions for her.
I'm talking to Jason in Iraq (that's crazy huh... thank the Lord for technology!) and the whole empathizing thing goes for him as well
some people have gotten too hurt lately... why does it have to be my friends?!?
I dyed my hair... it's pretty. It's different colors :) it's never been different colors before. Thanks Sher Sher for inspiring me in the hair world ;)
I had the best couple of last days cuz Sheryl came to visit... It was fun. She's amazing
So far I've gotten a digital camera ;) and an I*Pod nano. I LOVE them! I've been playing non stop.
I miss my roomies. :(
Alright my dad wants me to go to the store with him... we're having a huge seafood meal tonight! YAY!!!! Crab legs are my fav :)
