Happy geekness
I got a bright shiny new laptop. It's super fast, and did I say shiny? Making me really appreciate the speed of my cable modem. :)
Life has been pretty much the same. Lots of working, sleeping and a little socializing.
Planning a couple of "vacations." First one in April to visit the folks. Dad is very concerned about Mom's state of being/mind and wants to make sure I come out and let her/them know I accept the situation and appreciate that there is no "getting better," it is what it is. Dad's word were something to the effect of "you need to come out while she still has enough spirit left to interact with you." So it'll be good times. Actually it should be pretty decent. I have spent a good deal of time coming to terms with my mother's situation and learning to appreciate that it cannot be changed. Possibly in May I'm going to visit my friend in Texas and check out Austin, this city that just sounds too good to be true. September is another visit back home. A week or so in and around Longview and a week or so in Canada.
Anywho.....perhaps I should sleep soon. :)
