I hope everyone had a nice Canada Day weekend! It was great here. Friday I
baked a cake for a quasi-surprise graduation party for my friend Dan (yay Dan!). It was awesome and tasted fantastic, and since I have buttercream left over there may be cupcakes with that icing at some point.
(pssst... some people *pokes
boulder_girl,
pebblesgirl* have ice cream and cookie coupons... I'm thinking of doing a batch of ice cream this weekend as a result of having leftover yolks from the cake making. If you would like something, let me know!)
Saturday was a really awesome martial arts class in the park, the weather was spectacular and we covered a lot of good material. I'm debating just sticking with park class until the fall - I really enjoy the Saturday class and I find I get a lot out of it, but Tuesdays less so - there seems to be a lot more wasted time because we can't all practice techniques at once in the small space. I will see how that goes, though, and I may decide that I want more practice anyway, so we'll see.
Then Saturday night we had the party for Dan, which he had pretty much figured out by then. ;) It was quite enjoyable and he received a Transformers-themed Mr Potato Head toy from George - 'Optimash Prime'. We LOL'ed. :D
Sunday I went to the flea market with my mom, and then there were fireworks! I took some pictures but only a few turned out. I need a tripod. It was pretty cool anyway though. And the best part was that there was still Monday! :D
Monday was mostly a lazy WoW-filled afternoon and evening (I hit 40!!!!! ^_^ yay frostsaber!). I'm keen to hit 41 maybe on Monday, if I can get in a few quests and another Scarlet Monastery run or something. We'll see.
This week I finished the website for work! I'm pretty excited about it, and since it's live now I will post the url:
http://atlanticsciencelinks.dal.ca/. So there it is! I'm still working on a header image, and I think that will be my task for the rest of the day (tomorrow too unless I get it done sooner - I'm going for something like a number of different science images that sort of blend together.). If anyone notices broken links, pls let me know.
yay! :D
