so... it's monday. i hae not updated in a while.
first and foremost, we lost. travis county's voters were opposite those of the state of texas. i think that says something great about austin. i realize now that moving to canada would be deserting people who need to feel the winds of change in their faces. i want to rally.
i hate how everyone said "the youth vote didn't spike like we were promised." fuck you, idiot. you're going by percentages. the youth vote last election was about 10 percent. the youth vote this election (last i heard) was 10 percent. the over-all voter turnout increased drastically. 10 percent of 100 million is a big spike up from 10 percent of 50 million. blaming those who didn't vote isn't nice. which candidate fought for tuition decreases? which candidate fought for higher minimum wage? which candidate fought for issues that directly affect us? i know the libertarian candidate, whatever his nme was, came to acc riverside. what does that say? 2008... how i long for thee.
november third was the worst day of my life. bush won re-election. the present i got for robert's birthday could not be broken in that night. i got into a car accident. again. i was going straight and someone going the opposite direction ran into me. again. i'm in a rental car. again. i have to go to a barrage of doctors to make sure i'm not seriously hurt. again. i cannot sleep without pain medicine. again. i'm so frustrated that my breathing is labored.
the time has come for colds and overcoats. we're quiet on the ride, we're all just waiting to get home. Another week away, my greatest fear. i need the smell of summer, i need it's noises in my ears. if looks could really kill, then my profession would be staring. please know we do this for the care, not for the thrill. collect calls to home to tell them that i realize that everyone who lives will someday die and die alone.
vegas in 12 days.
word.
