Hey! Mr. Tambourine man...
Yesterday the most exciting thing in a long time happened to me! I was tricked into being part of this "youth band" thingy with my youth group which in and of itself is quite unremarkable BUT when I got there, instead of just making me sing which is what I was expecting, they.... made me the tambourine player!!!!! Why they picked me out of everyone to play the tambourine, is a mystery to me as I have no rhythm whatsoever. Everyone had to clap the beat out for me, and there I was playing one count behind everyone because I can't shake my wrist fast enough. I was so bad that they made me take the tambourine home to practice over the week.
Don't get me wrong, it has always been a secret dream of mine to be the tambourine player for a band, so despite my lack of skill (which is nothing I can't fix with a little practice) I'm thrilled.
