Cat update
Still missing, but she has been seen in the neighborhood, and apparently was yowling outside this morning! EXCELLENT NEWS. If she's not trapped, she will find her way home. I was very, very worried that she was trapped.
I have postered the neighborhood and local stores, contacted animal control, and will sleep downstairs in case she comes yowling around again. She has a very PIERCING meow when she's unhappy. :D I also put her favorite fleece blanket on the stoop to encourage her to stay put.
