Word around the Poseidon cabin suggests eagerness for snow. That said, beware the hail storm gathered around the practice sites at the lake. Those of you who make the decision to venture out into a sheet of falling ice despite the obvious sheet of falling ice garner no sympathies.

Winter comes every year. Is it still so exciting?

It just brings up fond memories of ski trips with my classmates back home.

You'll be prepared by then. And you'll have others with you.

I guess. I will just have to keep practicing and hoping I get sent on nothing too dangerous.

What are you currently practising? If you hone your skill, danger will be of lesser concern no matter what the task before you.

Uhm aside from music? I am trying to make sense of prophecy and my archery is passable. The power is there, but my aim is still in need of some work.

Your aim will get better in time. I advise you work on that than prophecy, as there is only so much you can do to predict a monster coming and being unable to destroy it.

I keep hoping I might develop something else useful. Everyone has been warning me about the monsters.

That is the main reason we are here. Developing powers is not unheard of, but make do with the ones you have rather than hold your breath for more.
