Sorry friends' list, this is just RP talk.
Zack:
He's had a crazy month. Zack's been building toward a breakdown since Body Switch 3.1. Between all of this thinking that he's learned to do, the murders last month, Karo's friend disappearing, his argument with Javert in which he was told that dreams only get you killed, Cloud getting his item and still not telling Aeris his feelings, he was one moody boy.
Then bodyswitch 3.2 happened. Sarah Connor, the one person on the island with whom he did not get along, turned into Aeris. He finally got set straight on the whole T-1000 shooting. He was determined to find Aeris because he needed to get it off his chest how he felt about her. But after two days with no luck, he's feeling discouraged. He tells Gil Grissom how he feels about Aeris in a moment of frustrated honesty. Gil gives him some advice he doesn't want to hear: maybe Aeris doesn't need someone to protect her and Zack should decide how he feels and tell the girl or not because the future is always uncertain. Zack thinks the old man shouldn't assume so much about a situation he doesn't know. Leaving Gil, he goes to search Dino Territory to see if she decided to go on another quest. Sometime after returning unscathed, but unsuccessful, Cloud tells Zack he's found Aeris and describes her current body--which sounds an awful lot like Gil Grissom. He decides to move out of the dojo, his feelings crushed. She did the very thing, he was afraid she would do: blow him off.
He's got several friends lined up to help him build a hut (EP pending this month, although I'm leaning toward handwaving it with all of the gathering posts going on and Zack's state of mind.)
He's ready to get to work carving his sword and Aeris' staff. Despite Austin's comment that swords are useless against guns, it's better than no weapon at all. (Ironically there are 3 Kensei swords on the island now.) Item post probably next month.
He's signed up for football and baseball. So he's got plenty of things that will keep him active and busy, but I really want to put him on the shelf for a bit. He is really difficult when he's so emotional and lately he's a ticking time bomb. Another reason to just handwave the building post. He needs to avoid conflict for a little bit and lick his wounds.
His new friend, Summer Roberts, has been a wonderful distraction. She deals with stress the same way he does through doing something else. They've danced to the jukebox, talked about dying and dead friends, she's nearly cried on his shoulder in a bikini, they've frolicked in the ocean to avoid talking about feelings and he told her the bookshelf could talk and was named Shawn.
It will take him a long while to heal from Aeris. Things may stay the same with Summer or get awkward. He used Aeris as an excuse that Summer was just a friend. She's the distraction he needs, but he's going to need to be careful to avoid a rebound.
There's also another plot involving a girl. We'll see how that turns out.
Hiro:
Hiro, obviously, just arrived. He has been a blast to debut since there isn't the necessity to tediously explain the island to him. He just assumes he's accidentally teleported somewhere and his power is on the fritz again. Right now he's living in Charlie's hut and dealing with a lot of unresolved business or else meeting 'famous' people on the island.
The Future: Will be bringing someone for Q4, but undecided. Also waffling between a good guy or a bad guy for Q1. Bad guy would need a lot of approved plotting and there's been a lot of disruptive plots lately so I don't know. Bad Guy would not be happy doing nothing.
