Last week CNN radio did a 40 minute show about modern dating, which is really about the adventures and perils of online dating. It features advice and information from the nets leading professional online dating services and a company that I now work for. It is sort of neat and I’m sure there might be a few who are interested, so here’s a podcast capture of it:

It’s weird because not only has my comic not been active for a few years, but this guy was Brazilian. I remember a few years back when someone contacted me asking to translate my strips into Portuguese; I Okayed it but never heard from them again. I guess this singular fan means that the translation project was completed. So that’s pretty cool. We had the usual fan/creator talk and of course he wanted to know all about my real life relationship with Her. He also told me about his new love who he will soon wed and asked for some Valentine’s Day advice. Speaking of my old strips…
Fans of basic_stories should be happy to know that 2006 marks the launch of my newly formed mini company, Basic Comics. Tentatively everything is a work in progress, but new announcements will be made as the year progresses. In the meantime, here is a preview (not finalized) of the new romantic Love is Basic art print and greeting card series:
Love is Basic features six unique designs, each with a romantic/love theme depicting our tiny human hearts’ full capability to hope and love. Like most of my work, they are inspired by real events, real people, in real life and online. More details will be available at a later date.
Happy Valentine’s / Single Awareness Day (S.A.D.)!
