T-shirts: Bailey's Anti-Drug

Oct 22, 2006 17:46

Today the Fischers bought Lyric several plants and herbs including a catnip plant for Bailey. After giving him a single leaf torn into bits for him to sniff, Bailey was well on his way to having a bad trip. First, Lyric tried to pick him up off her bed while she was vacuuming and he flinched, flipped 360 degrees in the air, then banged his head on the table. Then he furiously tried to remove his t-shirt which he had no problem with whatsoever previously, at this point Lyric was urgently yelling for me. I attempted to calm him down by talking cutsey to him and patting him. He let me pick him up and then out of no where spazzed out and scratched me across my stomach and on various spots on my arms and hands so I dropped him asap. Panting in a corner of my room, he looked quite distressed. Then I tried to pet him again and he hissed at me! Now, I've only heard Bailey hiss once prior to this incident and that was when he was a wee kitten, so you can imagine how startled I was. His eyes were darting around as though he was seeing various hallucinations and he treated everything near him like a threat (the floor, an electrical cord, my pillow, the rosette attached to my pants). Conclusion: no nip of cat for Bailey.

Kris was in Anaheim for a MUN conference yesterday. Friday night we went to Salvatores in Mission Viejo, which did not disappoint food-wise, but the service was a bit below average. Bruschetta, chianti, cioppino, tartufo, mmm what more could you want?

Picture of the Day

Bailey sports the latest look in cat fashion: shirts that say "My First UCSD T-Shirt."
As Sasha brillantly suggested, I may have to get him a UCD shirt as well.
A couple more pictures on flickr, although he wasn't posing like that model-cat he is.
