hello, this is Brantley from Death After Texas. first and foremost i like the honesty but dislike the way people are attacking eachother personally on this site..attack the music, not eachother. i hate my vocals i dislike most of the music also. and i would have to agree with what the last person said about my vocals. i have a low voice and with that music there isnt much to do that hasnt been done and (to me) is played out anyway. it reminds me a lot of hot water music. i enjoy a much different brand of music than what d.a.t. has played but it was fun to do and loved every minute of it. second, i think i am "to the point". if people think that makes me an a-hole then i guess they just don't get it, becasue to me, to be straight with people with out beating around the bush and telling them the truth and not just what they want to hear is how you can tell who is genuine and who is fake. so call me an a-hole if you like but if thats the price i pay for not being fake to people then so be it. and lastly Death After Texas has broken up. I'm sure there will be sad and happy people once they read this. zaki and myself wanted to make a more original music much different than what was being played by D.A.T. i am not sure what clint and mark wanted to do. after zaki left/kicked out or whatever robbie from Hopes Chapter was to take the place. Robbie and I were on the same page but i guess Clint and Mark werent. i believe they are going to play with what is left of As You Wish and i hope they do well (regardless of what people say or think). I told clint we should give away the c.d.s for free to a good home of whoever wanted one, but i think he is going to try and sell them. so they are still on sale, or for free. talk to him if you know him or go to an As You Wish show to get ahold of him and try and get one of the albums. Im hopefully going to start playing with some new people and the music will deffinitely be somehting you are not used to seeing me associated with (which you will either love or hate..if you like modest mouse or the eels or neutral milk hotel or the flaming lips you might be interested..i know i am) so like i said- d.a.t. is done. no hard feelings (sort of). and i hope this answers most of the questions anyone may have. adios.
