I have a theory which is counterintuitive to most people: the more government there is, the more crime and less security there will be; the less government there is, the less crime and more security there will be

I have had many harsh feelings toward the government lately. And I apologize ahead of time if what I say really has nothing to do with your post.
Here are a couple of my thoughts: we have elected officials in Congress to speak as a voice on the behalf of each state, but lately they have been meeting on their own agendas and have not been listening to the people. My question is, why do we even vote if our senators and representatives don't listen to their constituants? Do the people suddenly not matter anymore? Does anyone else out there not like Nancy Pelosi as much as I?
All of our jobs are being outsourced to overseas, leaving many people on our own home soil filing for unemployment in the masses. Food banks can't keep up with the sudden demand as families who were once able to provide for themselves can now barely scrape by. This has become a real problem, almost to epidemic proportions. Our current government has pretty much ruined us as a nation going into the future, yet they don't do anything about it.
The economic stimulus package was a crock because they initially got everyone's hopes up by saying that they would get back $600 per individual and $1200 per couples, yet there were several stipulations behind this gesture. I'm extremely frustrated.
It's interesting that you apologized beforehand saying that what you were to say may not have anything to do with the original post and yet it is very connected. You have just served to reiterate exactly what bashow stated before. To put it simply according to my understanding of his main point (which could be wrong), the bigger the government, the more mistakes it can make + the more forceful it will be and thus the more angry the citizens will feel being constantly violated and let down by their government. Now, given that psychology was right when it stated that anger leads to violence, then that's the remaining link here yet to be seen. Now of course I don't think you're going to go rob a bank and shoot a bunch of people over your stimulus check being screwed up by tax brackets and marital status, but the seed has been planted.
As for your separate issues, I believe that the idea of the house of representitives is a good idea in theory but because each person is operating on their own agenda (or under the agenda of the lobby-ers), then of course they will continuously fail its citizens.
What you've stated about jobs being outsourced over seas, etc... I think that there are two sides to the coin. The first side (as long as I understand what outsourced means) is that corporate expansion promotes economy, be it internal or global. In the case of an American business moving over seas, this would effect both (now I believe that I must be misunderstanding what outsourced means). Either way, regardless of what outsorcing means as far as jobs and overseas, yes, our government is making chronically poor financial decisions that is jepordizing the future of our already weak economy.
I have to say that I never agreed with the economic stimulus package as I didn't think its intent (to boost the economy) was a sound intent. Now, that said, I did notice a lot of people getting bent out of shape about how much exactly they were getting back. This goes back to tax brackets and marital status and parent status, etc... and all of these things that the government rewards (or doesn't) based on all of these statuses that shouldn't seem to matter in the case of the stimulus package in general. What I don't get is, however bizarre it is, give the government an opportunity to give to the citizens and they get upset about how much they get back. Now we're in the government's position. Now we can identify with why they tax us so much. Now that we have seen how greedy that we can be in this case, we can see how greedy they must be. And since they are able to use force in order to take our money while they just handed out money based on taxes filed in 2007, of course as a body of people they're going to agree on more money for them and less for us.
Anyway, that's all I can think of to say for the moment.
