father & son reunion
this is such a sweet video. it's a father returning home from a deployment in iraq, and he surprises his son at school. the look that is on his son's face just made me cry, because i know exactly how he felt.
i remember waiting for david to appear in the airport. it was one week after wesley was born, and on father's day. he was able to come home for 2 weeks, so he could meet wesley and we could spend time together as a family for the first time.
seeing david after months, you just can't ever forget those feelings or a moment like that. i still remember the empty feeling i had when he had to return. then i didn't see him again until almost 9 months later. wes and i took the drive to NJ to see him, and seeing david's face light up from seeing his son again and how much he had grown since he last held him.... it's still an emotional memory, but a happy one at that.
