Well, Folklorama is over for another year. I had a ton of fun, but am glad it's only two weeks. Although I would love to see the people I met there more often. Once a year just isn't enought. Expecially the sexy men wearing kilts! Oh man, there was alot of them the last two nights. I also got hit on by quite a few of them.
I was working in kiddy corner ever night at the Scottish pavilion, and had some absolutely addorable kids! Made a few little friends who came back every night (mostly children of volunteer's, and the little dancers). I also worked security afterwards, which was fun. I got to wonder around talking to people, or hangout at the back door where everyone came out to smoke. There were some pretty interesting conversations, like:
heavy gamer A "Boob-jobs are just sick"
me "Ya, they don't look real"
heavy gamer B "Your boobs look real! you didn't get a boob-job, right?"
me "um, ya....they are real. We were talking about other people getting boob-jobs"
or
woman A "Can I lift yer kilt?"
Gord "um, if you want, but you might get a 'suprise"
me, wispering "he isn't wearing anything under it"
woman A, shocked "do none of them wear anything underneath?"
woman B "no, they're traditional."
There was also alot of "your red hair is so pretty, it's obvious your Scottish" and me responding "I'm not Scottish at all, I just like volunteering here. Sexy men in kilts and all....I'm actually Danish." Haha, it was fun.
And I was performing at the Scandinavian pavilion the week before. It was a blast, but I don't have any interetsing stories. The Scottish pavilion is so much more fun!
And now that it's over, I'm really bored, I don't have anything to do :(
