Mikuru sighed and pulled the blankets up over her head. She was still in her pink pajama's...and it was 3 in the afternoon. She was hiding, that much was clear. A small whimper came and her orange hues flicked up, her cat was scratching at the door. She sighed and flopped over, content on never leaving her room again. After the fish told everyone her secret, she didn't have the heart to return to brawl. And she was afraid to see Kyon....It was all so confusing.
The cat suddenly stopped scratching at the door and let out a pleased 'rwow' as Mikuru's door opened on its own. Soft steps came up to her bed before there was a soft poking at the lump of blankets atop her bed.
"Mikuru-chaaaaan~"
Mikuru lifted the covers ever so slightly to see who had entered her room. She bit down on her lower lip, blinking at the sudden light. "Tsuruya-chan....What are you doing here?" She quickly pulled the blankets back over her head, to hide her shame.
Mikuru flailed when the covers were ripped away from her, and she went sailing in the air. She landed on the floor with a thump and blinked. "B-But I don't want to cheer up..." She sat up and rubbed the back of her head. It was throbbing because that's what she had landed on. "I just want to sulk..."
Tsuruya tsked her while she folded up Mikurus blanket and set it back on her bed. "Sulking will give you wrinkles Mikuru-chan~" Walking over to her she held out her hand to help her up.
"..." She took her friends hand and stood up wearily, she obviously had gotten little sleep the night before. "B-But...everyone knows Tsuruya-chan...I-I didn't want anyone to know. Ever." She looked down and her bangs hid her eyes. But tears ran down her cheeks, making it apparent that she was crying.
Tsuruya easily lifted her to her feet as she took her hand and lightly placed her hands at her hips as she started to cry. Even if it were not apparent, Tsuruya would have easily known she was crying. She gave her a soft look before giving her a hug and patting her hair, "I know, I'm sure you didn't, nyoro"
Mikuru moaned softly, showing that she was feeling a little bit better. "Thank you....but I don't know what I'm going to do..." She hugged back and then looked directly at Tsuruya. "Both of them are going to be at the game...and I don't know what to do..." She was worried about seeing Kyon, and what if Fuji had heard? He had been away from brawl for a while, but still. Word travels.
Tsuruya kept her hands on her friends shoulders as she looked back at her. "Simple! You play baseball!! I think Kyon-kun and Fuji-san are going to be pretty distracted with themselves for the game, I think you'll be okay~!!" And she meant this, she didn't think that the boys would take to much time from being wierd at eachother for them to seriously pester Mikuru.
Mikuru thought about this for a moment. "Anou...That's true..." She smiled a bit, and nodded her head slowly. "They probably won't play any mind to me...I hope..." But then a worried look crossed her face. "But that scary guy Envy will be there...and he doesn't like me." She was scared crapless of him, and didn't want to cross paths with him unless she needed to.
"MmHm!!" Tsuruya knew she was right! Mikuru-chan needn't to worry about a thing. Hm, but this thing about Envy. She was a little worried about him harassing her but ultimatly, "Envy-san isn't going to hurt you, because I know that Kyon-kun would be upset~ Envy doesn't like Kyon-kun upset~"
"Are you sure?" Mikuru didn't know the relationship between Envy and Kyon all that well. Lately she had been avoiding Kyon for some reason. She didn't even know that reason herself. "Maybe I should just stay home...everyone will have a better time without me."
Tsuruya gave her an energetic nod answering her question. She herself didn't care much for Envy, but around the network, she'd seen how much Kyon seemed to like him. It wasn't much of a secret, by any means. However, Tsuruya frowned a little at Mikuru's next statement, "Absolutly not!! I'm coming to cheers you on, sillies!!"
"Well...I don't want to let you down..." She would hate to disappoint her friend, and it wouldn't be so bad if she was there. "Why aren't you playing, though?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. "I'm sure you would have fun..."
"Good!" Yes, there was no way that Tsuruya was going to let Mikuru back out of this! It wouldn't have been healthy!! Tsuruya became thoughtful at her question, "I must have missed the post asking for players, nyoro~! But An-san invited me to come watch!!"
"Oh. Well, I'm glad that you'll be there..." Finally a happy smile. "Thank you! Afterwards we can go get some ice cream. My treat." She grinned a bit. "And what about Itsuki-kun? Is he going to be there? Yuki is being umpire and Haruhi....I don’t know."
Oh good. She was smiling again. Tsuruya did a little happy dance in her head, on the outside she gave her a wide Tsuruya-brand smile. "I'll shout loud for you, Mikuru-chan!! Just you wait!" She gave her friend another hug before considering her question, "Hm, I don'ts knows. I should ask him today!!"
Mikuru laughed a little bit and hugged her best friend back. "Thanks Tsuruya-chan...but I still don't think I'll be able to talk to Fuji-san. It's really awkward now, and I'm sure that he hates me." She glanced at the clock. "Is it really that late? Oh my..." She hadn't expected to stay in her pajama's all day. "How did you know that I was here?"
Tsuruya turned her hug into a light noogie as she heard Mikuru make her ridiculous accusation, "Fuji-san doesn't hate you, silly!! Why would he??" She let go after a moment and crossed her arms. "I figured you were upset over the fishie, I didn't think you would be anywhere else," She answered vaguely.
"Ahaha...You know me so well..." She said softly, smiling a bit. "Okay! I'm going to be strong! No one's gunna push me down!" She pumped her fist in the air, and then sighed. "Um....as long as you are there...I think I can.....go through with it." She smiled happily, "Thank you.”
"That's the spirit, Mikuru-chan!! You will be unstopable!!" She followed her friend in pushing her fist in the air as well. She glanced back at her and gave her a calm, soft smile, "No problems, okay? That's why we're friends, nyoro~"
Mikuru giggled and covered her face with her hands. "I made some brownies earlier! Want some?" She asked, walking to her door. "They should still be warm!" She was nearly skipping. "And you can tell me everything that I missed recently on Brawl!"
"Ohhhh do I!! They sound megassa delicious!!" Tsuruya skipped with her to the door, "Sounds like fun~"
