(no subject)
Ugh...I left after the 8th inning....it was 5-1 then...they lost 9-1. Tho the game sucked I always seem to find an area where the crowd is entertaining. There was a group of guys just 1 row below me shouting at the top of their lungs from the moment they sat down. They were getting drunk and after a while I couldnt even understand what they were shouting but I do know they werent happy with a lot of the calls lol. Then there was this guy who called himself "cowbell man" and even had a mets jersey with "cowbell-man" and the # 10 on the back. He was just walking around banging his cowbell and getting the crowd going. There was another group of guys in the next section and 2 of them had yankee caps on and they were getting into it with cowbell-man. It went on a good 10 mins and eventually most ppl in the area were paying more attention to them than the game and of course the drunk group of guys had to get involved and got the whole area to start chanting "YANKEES SUCK, YANKEES SUCK!". Then one of the guys wearing a yankee cap gets some change out of his pocket and hands it to cowbell-man...he took it and then threw it right back at him....and yea that was about as exciting as it got, other than Art Howe arguing a call and getting thrown out of the game. The first base umpire really sucked...I think he was too busy looking at Mike Piazza's ass to see that the runner was out when he called him safe, which allowed a run to score. Oh well, rubber game tomorrow but it'll be a while before I go to another game.
