1. (most important) Has anyone here ever dyed their denims black? How would one go about doing this? I know of the rit dye method but i was wondering if there were any other ways

the directions for stovetop should be on the bottle/carton. get the liquid and not the powder rit. get the largest pot you can find, put in the amount of water and dye recommended on the package, put in your jeans and stir for however long it says to, then wash out in the sink (as the rit will stain the enamel on a bathtub). sorry if that's super vague.
i washed out my jeans super well after i dyed them. they bled a little bit at first, so wash them separately from anything not black for a few washes. i dyed them alomost a year ago and they're still really dark.
i dyed them black because the dresscode at my old job said i had to wear black pants. i got around it and managed to get away with wearing these dyed jeans every shift for 4 months.
good luck. oh and make sure they're 100% cotton denim. jeans with spandex or another stretchy additive don't take to the dye as well.

p.s. you should stop by your local thrift shop and pick yourself up a pair of penny loafers! they are simply the best, and that way if you ever happen to happen upon a payphone that still requires only a penny, you will be in luck and able to make exactly two phone calls, you lucky devil you!
