Oh MTV, your ironic sense of humor will never cease to amuse me.
So, I find this very funny.
I was watching the MTV movie awards just now and I was reminded of why I never watch them. Here were the nominees for best female performance:
Lindsy Lohan - Mean Girls
Hillary Swank - Million Dollar Baby
Uma Thurman - Kill Bill Vol. 2
Natalie Portman - Garden State
Three amazing movies and one pretty funny one that actually should never be mentioned in the same breathe as the other. Who won? Lindsy Lohan. Yeeaaaaaaah...

I missed the first one they mentioned but it was probably Million Dollar Baby or Garden State.
Guess which movie won. Napoleon Dynamite. Yeah, MTV can eat me. Just because a movie is popular doesn't mean it merits an award. I can see why they did that though. It's an award show focused towards the MTV generation which, aparently, has a very different picture of good and bad than the rest of society. Personally though, I don't see why MTV can't just go "Seriously, Napoleon Dynamite isn't the best movie of the year. Are you people insane?! DID YOU EVEN SEE RAY?!? DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHO RAY CHARLES IS?!?!?!?!"
Ugh, this is why I don't watch MTV. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to watch Cartoon Network.
