Some of you noticed the odd, box-like protrusion. That’s a large rain spout to allow any water to drain from the roof structure. I suspect they took into account the possible flooding of the reservoir shoreline and wanted something clog resistant.
Here’s a view giving a glimpse of the smooth top surface of one of the structures.
Here are closer looks at the central “spine” of the structure. Marks from the wooden formwork are quite obvious.
My cursory survey revealed two instances of minor damage, just enough spalling to reveal the steel reinforcing bars. These small flaws could easily be patched.
