NYY 3, BOS 5

::twitch::

I'm going to die tomorrow. DIE.

Tonight's game was really fun, despite my hellacious nerves. (This might be the post-game Schmirnoff Twisted speaking.)

Wells goes 7, gives up 3 runs -- very good outing, especially given his gimpyass knee.
We get three runs on the insanity of a bases loaded walk, Giambi's 5-2 throwing error, and a sac-fly -- how very non-Red-Sox-y.
Chadford and Myers work their -OOGY magic perfectly.
Timlin is nails for four outs. Nails.

And for the MVP insanity -- Papi gets an RBI; A-Rod commits a Buckner-in-Game-Six through-the-wickets error on a routine grounder. Pretty.

Apparently my post-game message for em_meredith (who's in Florida and, you know, doing non-baseball things right now) had too long of a pause at the start, during which microsecond she flipped out thinking, "OHMIGAWD, they lost and Macha doesn't know how to tell me!!" Silly thought, since the message would've opened mid-scream if they'd lost. ::g::

Who else saw that heart-melting players-thank-the-fans NESN commercial? ::hugs them all::

go sox
