First of all....
HI!!! I am a total slacker and always forget that I have this account. Sorry! I'm doing my best to get caught up on everyone's life... teheheheeee
Anyways.
I gave my 30 day notice to my apartment manager today. We are FINALLY moving into our house. Yeah, remember that house we bought wayyyyyyyy back in December? We are acutally gonna live there. How patient am I? To wait 8 months to move in. Thank the Lord it wasn't going to be the extra month as planned. We are SO short on cash now.. with paying a mortgage and rent here. We almost weren't gonna make it for July. But thankfully we are only strapped until August 10th. *sigh*
There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
So this past week has been hectic. A lot of packing and trashing junk, etc. It's so hard.. having a whole month until the move... we still need a lot of stuff to live comfortably, but if we don't pack we'll be running around like crazy the last few days. So basically we have packed up all the non-essentials like photo albums, dvds, cds, pictures off the walls, knick-knacks and our winter clothes. Today I just took ALL the kids stuffed animals and threw them in HUGE trash bags on the porch. THREE very large trash bag-fulls later... I can't believe how much stuff they have!! We have been in this tiny apartment for 3 and half years now and we have accumulated so much junk too.
Matt want's to leave a lot of stuff behind that is just trashed and start over. But that means leaving our sectional couch. It's very large... but it really does stink and is falling apart. I just know that we can't afford a new one... so I'm hoping we can find a nicer used one. We also want to work on the house a little before completely moving in... but I doubt we'll have time (or money) to do what we want. I still haven't seen the inside of the house yet.. I know. I'm pshyco. But I'm sure that the carpet is old and worn. I would really love wood floors in the living, dining rooms, hallway and foyer. Maybe in the kitchen too, or nice natural stone tile in there. If you lived with my kids, you would want hard floors too... You wouldn't believe how much stuff they spill!!!
And of course Matt wants to remodel completely (being in the construction biz) he wants to pop out a wall and extend the house out to make the kids rooms bigger and us to have a really nice mater suite. Hahahaaa!!! Like that's gonna happen any time soon!
I'm so excited!!!
