My mom's cousin (basically my aunt) died a few weeks ago. She had cancer and the doctors told her around Thanksgiving that she only had 6 months to a year left, so it wasn't too shocking. She donated her body to science, and it's now at the Cancer Research Center, so there was no funeral. Instead, they had a "celebration of life" on Saturday. It was really nice. There were close to 500 people there, which is crazy to me. She was only 53 and has a daughter in high school and son in college... I'm really freaked out by it, because she was so young. Any other deaths in my family were the older people that were "supposed" to die next, my great grandmother, my grandpa, my surrogate grandfather...
Sorry this one was kind of a downer, but that's really all of the news I have.
