Twins at White Sox. Game goes to the 9th even at 4. Minnesota scores 6 to go up 10-4. What happens next? Chicago scores 6 of their own to tie it again. On to extra innings. Nice job, bullpens.
Elsewhere, Edinson Volquez seems to like facing the A's lately, or at least the organization. Last month he pitched 7 shutout innings against the River Cats in Sacramento and, up with the Rangers now, he threw 6 more scoreless frames against the A's in Arlington.
Ryan Zimmerman had a night to forget. Not only did he commit three throwing errors tonight (as noted in the Smoltz thread), he also wore the Golden Sombrero. The game notes indicate Nationals pitcher Ross Detwiler became the first player in this year's draft class to make it to the majors. I guess that's one team you'd stand a chance of doing that for.
