He watched from a distance.
It wasn’t time for him to make himself known yet.
So all he could do was keep hidden and watch as soldiers and officers paid their respects to a fallen brother
The civilians from the Home Office, the professor and his little band of followers, stuck out like sore thumbs amongst the military personnel, but he watched them closely as they grieved. They could be the ones.
When all had gone, he approached the memorial and rested his hand lovingly upon it.
“Thanks for the memories, Tom.”
Matt Anderson kissed the stone and walked away
