So, here is the official Blurb that I was going to post:
Earlier today the total stood at 99,815/210,000. This is so wonderful to watch/help. Today:Sci fair! TomatoNation.com DonorsChoose.org
And then I started to think about it... yesterday (Tues) at 3.30 pm (Alaska Time) I was sitting here and I found out that (there is this Mysterious Donor who just goes by) $, has decided to donate more of his money... if we reached 90K by Friday at midnight, he would donate 3,000$ If we reached it by Thurs at midnight (and that's New York time, so ... you know, I had to get moving!) he would donate 4,000$, and if we reached 90K by Wed Midnight... He would donate 9,000$!!!
I have been trying to donate 10$ a day. I have given up my daily coffee, cut down on my daily cigarettes, and am skipping (mostly) the work lunches and out to eats. (TomatoNation.Com also is a big advocate for cleaning out your car and couch diving for change!) Granted, that comes up to 310$, which isn't really something I have a lot of, but it's what I can give. With that mentality across the nation... We raised the 90K by this morning, so when you add $'s additional donation... That gives us a total of 99,815!!!
And when I think of all of the projects that kids are getting funded... There's a battle of the books that still needs books... about 400$ worth (which is WAY closer than the 1,000 that they started out needing) Mr. K, who wanted to teach geometric shapes via origami was fully funded by Oct 2, and found Sars (owner of TM.com) and mailed her 100 Red paper cranes! (100 Lucky people that donate will get one in the mail, and if I'm one, I'm sure I will break down and sob for happiness)
And just to let you know... I'm not a girl that cries easily...
