I bought a Velvet Underground album today.
Shira included this summer description in a recent email. I liked it a lot:
"i find myself now in the city of atlanta. the radio stations are wonderful, the humidity is repulsive, the fire ants are teeming out of angry hills of granulated red clay. yesterday i ate fried chicken and yams at son's place on dekalb avenue. today, i went to perimeter mall."
