Been watching my Valentines day present- season 1 DVD of Nip/Tuck, and i have to say even though this is the most overdramatized show ever, i love it. Christian is so UGHHHHHGHGHG in his little silk shirts.. yeah im creepy.. but he tttthhhhooooo fyne.
Ive been listening to a lot of garage punk bands lately, and ever since the formaldehyde junkies/ retainers show last saturday ive been really inspired to do this band with allie and our friend ben from LR. He plays guitar and is super smart, and everyone knows smart dudes can come up with some amazing riffs. So, not to boast or anything, but i kinda caught the two coolest people ever to be in a band with.
Lately ive been going to Food not bombs and its going really well. I enjoy going there, hanging out and playing OG records, making up recipes, and learning how to cook vegan food. I also like the fact that its just a bunch of us kids hanging out in our artsy friends house, not in some random ass church like most food banks. This sunday im going dumpster diving for ingredients (dont worry, they're sealed!) to cook with at FNB, and also to take home so i can start cooking yummy dinners for my fam. Last week we made BBQ seitan sandwiches, souffle, tofu stew, chocolate pudding cake, and a few other things i cant remember right now.. Im going to start writing down all the recipes, since most things we cook are just made up as we go. Whenever i get the chance, or atleast in a few weeks, i'll get a friend help me with a layout and try to start a zine for FNB. I plan on having it set up like a blog - including the mood we were in and the music or record we were listening to while making each recipe. If anyone knows how to do layouts, or have any tips on zines, please let me know! Ive never done this before so your help is much appreeshed.
