Many of these are kind of unpleasant but ambien sex really freaks me out - it's like 'all the fun of date rape plus the existential terror of losing bits of your memory'. But possibly it's just me having the thing about memory (I also find that variety of anesthetic that apparently just stops you forming memories to be the most incredibly terrifying thing ever).

There are definatly consent issues that come up with Ambien sex that you don't have to deal with with scat.

Does ambien really rob people of their memories? Seems like a pretty severe side effect.

It varries from person to person. Some lose memory. Some don't.

The appeal of Ambien sex is some women like to feel completely helpless during sex. So they take an ambien right before fooling around with their partner and then he fucks her once she's become immobile. It sounds weird but I've had women tell me it gives them incredible orgasms.

It can be. But obviously that's not fetish Ambien Sex. That's just rape.

Yes. I was just curious as to why it counted as a weird enough fetish to be on this list, when it sounds from what you've described like a very useful tool to help somebody who has difficulty achieving orgasm to relax enough to achieve orgasm.

Because some women are really, really squiked by it because of the fake that you are essentially simulating date rape. It's a super controversial fetish in the kink community. At one point a ton of FetLife members actually tried to get it delisted from FetLife becasue they found it so offensive.

I suppose I just thought that if somebody wants to take a pill and experience some weird drugged out sex that they might not remember very clearly the next day, then fair play to them. They're not harming anyone.

That's my feeling too.

But I can understand why it would squick some people.

I mean fair play to the alien egg impregnation people too - but I'll admit point blank that that squicks me out. No reason for it to, but it does.

I find the idea that you're unable to revoke consent if something starts going wrong really problematic, myself. But "sex that deliberately involves shit" still grosses me out more than "consensual, but what if something goes wrong?"

I would have confidence that people who are into that are people who have absolute 100% trust in their partners.

I'm thinking more "shit, this thing I usually enjoy is suddenly very painful, something is wrong, stop" type problems, that your partner *can't tell* are happening, rather than "partner being shitty".
